Windows 7 or Internet Explorer 8 -do they both suck?

Anyone had a chance touse Windows 7 or Internet Explorer 8 for any length of time, or did you unistall it or format your drive within a few hours of using it?

Win7: I used my beta for a couple of hours on my old Linux machine, turned off my computer and the next day it wasn't booting. I reinstalled Linux, and, quite frankly, W7 is like Vista with more bugs and useless features you couldn't possibly need.

IE8: I downloaded the beta of it a couple of months ago and it's much slower to start up than IE7, but still does the job (slowly). It isn't really safer or faster than IE7, FireFox, or nowhere near Safari 3.

PS. Do you need to re-signup to be part of the Video part of the site or not?

Hey ABC003, did you say Safari is a better browser to use. I went from IE to Opera to Firefox, but it looks like you think Safari might be better?
